Storyline: The family welcomes a mysterious man into their farmhouse, and when he mysteriously starts to exert control over their teenage daughter, they are left at his mercy. She is forced to carry out a number of risky and bizarre chores and is caught up in his deadly instructions. If the family wants to escape his cunning manipulation, they have to solve the dark mystery he keeps hidden.
Shaitaan 2024 Full Movie Review: To keep the audience interested, a compelling supernatural thriller frequently relies on a tension-building mix of terror and suspense. A successful film may eschew conventional jump scares and yet provide a really unsettling experience. "Shaitaan" director Vikas Bahl deftly does this.
"Shaitaan" stands out for having a real atmosphere that is created without the use of computer generated imagery. The villain's sinister schemes, which create a lingering sense of discomfort, serve as the main source of tension throughout the movie. The screenplay, which was written by Aamir Keeyan Khan and Krishnadev Yagnik, deftly steers clear of traditional horror clichés in favour of exploring the age-old argument between supernaturalism and rationality as well as the fundamental aspects of human nature.
Although there is significant repetition in the second act, the directing and tense tempo keep the audience interested. The sensation of dread endures even as the tension wanes. The story's believability is weakened by some of the narrative decisions made, and the power of the ending is lessened when a pivotal surprise is revealed too soon in a revealing moment.Still, Amit Trivedi's spooky music and cinematographer Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti's masterful creation of a terrifying visual atmosphere stand out.
The ensemble gives strong performances, with Madhavan standing out as the cunning adversary. Ajay Devgn plays a parent who is both desperate and determined in a believable way. Janki Bodiwala receives appreciation for her subtle depiction of a little girl caught by evil powers, while Jyotika makes a powerful presence known. As the son, Anngad Raaj also gives a really good performance.
