Siddhu Jonnalagadda plays DJ Tillu, also referred to as Bala Gangadhar Tilak in casual conversation. He is a typical young man who grew up among Hyderabad's busy Malkajgiri alleys. His musical skills are on display in the colourful festivals of Bonalu, neighbourhood fairs, and group get-togethers, not in the flash of upmarket city nightclubs, where he goes by the term "DJ." He meets Neha Shetty's character, singer Radhika, during these joyous occasions, and their mutual attraction quickly blooms.

Not only does the movie use the real Hyderabadi dialect for comedic effect, but it does so quite skillfully. First half of the film is so lighthearted and fast-paced that there is little time for a break in the action. The storyline, however, changes when Radhika gets involved in a criminal case and unintentionally brings DJ Tillu into it. This twist piques interest and suggests a captivating conclusion after the interval. However, as the tale develops, a flood of new characters, including Shawn (Prince Cecil) and Brahmaji, a police officer, clog the narrative, which loses its cutting dialogue and starts to meander.
The major emphasis of the movie is Radhika and the mysterious happenings that surround her. This raises doubts about the meaning of the title "DJ Tillu," a topic that the filmmakers are still able to answer. Adding an emotional element, director Vimal Krishna seeks to balance sentimentality against the comedy tone that is dominant. It becomes clear as the narrative progresses that the movie's second section lacks some of the energy of its first. Still, the whole experience is improved by the soundtrack and the upbeat DJ beats strewn throughout the movie.
For his captivating portrayal of the lead role, Siddhu Jonnalagadda deserves praise. Although his portrayal suggests a scathing look at many young heroes, it is done on purpose. With her attractiveness adding to the attraction, Neha Shetty gives a riveting performance. She handles the intricate and subtle moral ambiguity of her character with skill. The casting of Prince and Brahmaji is flawless, with each character blending into their own.
